U/15 OC vs Onka Lost 20-22
After being convincingly beaten by Waratahs, the boys went into
training a week before the Onka match and into the game with a new and
positive attitude. They realised the importance of keeping possession and
played with a sense of urgency and guts. The game was one of continued
changing of scores with good skills being shown by both teams. With this
close loss behind them (22-20), the U/15s should look forward to a good
season. However, they must concentrate more on the basics of passing,
catching and individual skills both at home and at training. This
continued practice will be rewarded on the field as there is the nucleus
of a very good side. Well done!
U115s - ask some of your school mates to come along and play - we need
more players and you may be able to get a friend interested in the game.
Senior players are invited to see the club's future players at a Saturday
game or during training on Wednesdays. A good football club depends on its
junior players.

U16s
A little bird tells us that OCs fielded a full team against Elizabeth. We
also hear that the squad will soon number 20 - so hang in there
lads, the future looks good. Our score of 12 was made up of a penalty try
and one try each to Greg Thomas and Robin Caldwell.
U12s
The birth of a magnificent under 12 rugby team. Old Collegians defeated
Onkas 70 to 4. Tries scored by Sebastian Villatis 1, Richard Czeglik 2,
Joel Twohill 1, Darren Turner 3, Bradley Arthur 1, Stewart Proud 3, and
conversions by Joel Twohill. Excellent tries were scored by the ball being
handled by all backs and under the posts with continual back up by the
forwards running on to the ball. A great effort by a great rugby team.
Boys are most anxious for a return match with Port.
U10s
Old Collegians defeated Waratah Red.- 68-8. Tries by: Stewart Douglas 6,
Mathew Corkin 5, Johann Labrooy 2. William Hogarth 2, Luke Turner 1, Nick
Malone 1. Well done - a good team effort
