  "ANGUS Crawford was a friendly and popular young man who loved spending time with his mates.

  On Monday, the day after his 21st birthday, Mr Crawford was driving with his sister Madeleine on Arkaroola Rd, about 150km north-east of Peterborough, when his car rolled.

  Mr Crawford died a short time after the accident, while his sister was flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, where she remains under critical care. News of the accident has shocked Pembroke School, where the two attended; and its old collegians community.

  Mr Crawford completed his schooling at Pembroke in 2001 and went on to the University of South Australia's Mawson Lakes campus.

  He was a member of his Year 12 staff student executive and was an active participant in every aspect of school life.
So much did he enjoy his schooling years, he returned to Pembroke after graduating, to help coach junior sports teams and Pedal Prix teams. Madeleine completed school last year where she excelled in choir and chamber singing, as well as cross country and the Pedal Prix. 

  It is believed Mr Crawford and his sister were driving in convoy on Arkaroola Rd with family and friends after attending. a family function on the weekend when the accident occurred. It is understood Angus was in the middle of preparing celebrations for his 21st birthday party."

  It is with great sadness that Old Collegians farewell Angus Crawford, who played his first year with Old Collegians in this 2004 season, in the first and second grades. 

  Angus was a close friend of a number of our players, who had been to school with him at Pembroke.  Rugby ranked alongside Angus’ love of the bush, trucks (there is nothing he loved more than backing a B-double with absolute precision! - preferably a Kenworth), his "shortie" (short wheel base landcruiser), his dog, his family, his mates (of both gender) and, last but not least, Pale Ale! 

  Angus was a member of the Stirling CFS and interested in anything associated with the bush environment. We will always remember Angus for his enthusiasm, his charm, his humour, his laugh and his very, very blue eyes.
